Classroom setup.jpg

The technology I would use in my classroom is minimal because I would not like for my students to get distracted. But, the technology in my classroom would be cutting edge. I would have a projector that was Bluetooth enabled so that I could connect it to my iPad. That way I would not need a cable to connect my iPad to the projector. Also, I could use Siri to help us as a class with research. Here we could have virtual field trips and Skype dates with people and places in the community. That goes with standard 2 of the technology standards. Then, I would have a smart board. My smart board would help me with taking attendance. I would have the students come move their picture to the “here” side of the board as soon as they walked in. This would get them interacting with technology every morning. We would also have our songs and dances on the smart board to do as a class. This would be standard 6 of the technology standards. Then I would have a smart TV. that had internet connection. That way we would have multiple means of accessing information as a class. Also, they could use that in their future along with their parents which is standard 4. And, I would make sure each of my students had an iPad. When they walked in they would take their iPad to the table. There I would have an app where they could trace their name. Then, next to them they would have paper and a pencil to write their name on the paper, which they will need to know to pass. Which would go along with standard 3 on the Illinois standards of technologies.
